Whilst it's not a requirement to be Certified to use the full suite of Everything DiSC and Five Behaviours behavioural self-assessments, taking the official certification programme fully equips you to maximise the learning and create long-lasting behavioural change with your learners, and leads to the credential of being an Everything DiSC Certified Practitioner.
The official Everything DiSC Certification programme has been completely redesigned to reflect the new products available, namely Everything DiSC on Catalyst. The format and duration have also been updated so that you can complete the programme in just two weeks!
Since I wouldn't want to recommend anything that I haven't experienced myself I recently completed the full programme so that I could experience it for myself and provide you with some insight about what to expect.
COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After completing Everything DiSC Certification, learners will be able to demonstrate:
A deep understanding of Everything DiSC and the personalised insights provided by the Catalyst platform and supporting reports.
Expertise in the Everything DiSC® model, theory, and research.
Confidence, competence, and credibility in delivering Everything DiSC solutions.
Ability to customise Everything DiSC programs to meet the needs of an individual, team, or organisation.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The programme spans a two-week duration consisting of a mix of self-guided online learning and four live instructor-led sessions.
The programme is fully packed and the online learning required ahead of each live session does require some time set aside for you to complete it. My tip would be to block time in your diary each day to complete the required activities so that you don't leave it all to the last minute! The online training centre is designed to be interactive and engaging and the great thing is that it remains available to you indefinitely once you have completed the programme so that you can always use it as reference should you need it.
The live sessions are facilitated by experienced facilitators from Wiley, the publishers of Everything DiSC. The groups are quite large and consist of participants from around the world. However, they are highly interactive, and you will frequently work with others in small break-out rooms to share your experiences, ask questions and practise your newly learned skills. The sessions are fast-paced, and you need to be prepared to work at speed! Throughout the course you will feel supported by both the facilitators and the team here at DISCGB who are always available to answer any questions you may have.
The programme culminates in a multiple-choice examination after which you will earn the new credential of Everything DiSC Certified Practitioner. The exam is 'open book' so you can refer to the training centre throughout. Should you not meet the pass mark on the first attempt, you will be able to retake the examination.
ALTERNATIVES
If you are part of a team from the same organisation who all want to take part in the programme, we can offer a 'closed' programme just for you and your team. The programme is identical in both content and structure, but it is delivered by facilitators from DISCGB under our 'License to deliver'. The benefit of this is that the dates and timings of the live sessions can be matched to meet your own requirements - although the two-week duration still applies. We are also able to offer discounted rates to groups from the same organisation. To discuss this further, please do contact us.
You may be feeling that the Certification programme is too detailed, expensive or time consuming for you. In this case we offer our own DISCGB Accreditation programme. This has a lighter touch but still covers all the essential knowledge and skills you need to get started using Everything DiSC. This programme is delivered remotely over two consecutive half-day sessions with the option to also add-on a further half day to explore the Five Behaviours programme.
