What are the four categories used in the DiSC model?

Everything DiSC is a popular personality assessment tool that is used to help individuals understand their own behaviour and the behaviour of others. It is a non-judgmental tool that can be used in a variety of settings, including the workplace, personal relationships, and team building.

DiSC stands for Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. These four categories represent different natural behaviours and tendencies that people may exhibit.

Dominance refers to a person's level of assertiveness and decisiveness. Someone who is high in dominance may be more likely to take charge and make decisions quickly.

Influence looks at how much a person is influenced by others and how much they influence others. Someone who is high in influence may be more outgoing and able to persuade others to see their point of view.

Steadiness measures a person's level of consistency and reliability. Someone who is high in steadiness may be more patient and even-tempered.

Conscientiousness looks at how organised and responsible a person is. Someone who is high in conscientiousness may be more detail-oriented and dependable.

By understanding their own DiSC style and the styles of others, individuals can learn how to communicate and work more effectively with one another. This can lead to improved teamwork, conflict resolution, and overall satisfaction in personal and professional relationships.
