Which DISC training is right for me?

Trainers, coaches and facilitators looking to use any of the range of Everything DiSC® profiles can access a range of different training and accreditation programmes. Because there are a few different options available I thought it would help to give you an overview of them all and simplify your choices.

Firstly, it is worth mentioning that you do not have to be formally certified or accredited to use the profiles. The reports are clearly written and easy to understand and interpret. However, as a trainer, you are going to want to have an understanding of the background and key principles. Official certification gives you a much deeper knowledge of DiSC and appeals to those who are looking to continue their own development and achieve a recognised accreditation. However, if you are an experienced trainer - maybe you have used DiSC or similar profiles before - a broader overview may be all that you need.

So the first question to ask yourself is "do I want to be formally certified"?

If the answer is yes then Everything DiSC Certification is the programme for you.

This is a blended learning programme combining online self-study and four 2 hour virtual instructor-led sessions spread over two weeks.

The total commitment required is approximately 10 hours per week.

This programme has been designed with your busy schedule in mind - it’s accessible anytime, from the convenience of your home or office computer, and is the best resource to build foundational knowledge and facilitation skills when using Everything DiSC in your organisation, or with your own clients. The content is interactive and memorable, so you’ll have fun while you’re learning! At the end of either programme, you will have achieved the status of Everything DiSC Certified Practitioner - subject to passing a short exam!

Depending on the dates you choose, the programme is either delivered by our own Certified Facilitators, or by the team at Wiley (the publishers of Everything DiSC). Whichever set of dates you choose it is the same programme, officially licensed and leading to the same accreditation. Whoever delivers the course for you, upon completion you will also have access to all the benefits associated with our own Accreditation programme.

If you don't need formal certification, or would prefer to take this on at a later date, then there are also two ways of gaining foundational knowledge about DiSC and the suite of products available.

Our Accreditation programme gives you a complete working overview of Everything DiSC. It includes your own Everything DiSC Workplace Profile and an optional EPIC account, which means you can immediately manage the whole process of administering DiSC reports for your own clients or in your own organisation. The programme consists of two 2.5 hour virtual, instructor-led, workshops conducted on two consecutive days. On the first day, you will experience an interactive DiSC workshop that you can adapt for your own use in the future. We will even supply you with the course notes and slides. A further optional half-day is also available that focuses on developing your confidence and competence to work with the Five Behaviours programme. At the end of the course, you may use DiSC as you wish as part of your own learning and development solutions and refer to yourself as a DISCGB Accredited knowing that you have our ongoing support.

All Accredited Members receive access to an exclusive area of our website containing a regularly updated range of supporting materials, access to a dedicated LinkedIn Group, ongoing email and phone support and a discounted rate for all profiles.

Everything DiSC Essentials

Another option is the Everything DiSC Essentials programme. This is a 2-3 hour self-paced, online learning programme. It provides you with foundational knowledge about DiSC and the range of products. It also covers the most frequently asked questions that you may encounter as a trainer.

The choices above are intended to meet a range of needs from those who want to achieve formal accreditation, to those that just need an introduction at this stage. Whichever option you choose, you will receive ongoing support from us to help you get the best from your use of DiSC and your relationship with us.

Further information about all of the programmes including available dates and pricing is available here.
