Send access codes from your own email address

It is now possible for EPIC account holders to generate a list of access codes without emails being sent automatically to each respondent. This allows you to distribute them from your own email account along with any specific information you would like to share.

You will need to contact us if you would like this functionality activated in your EPIC account since it is not available by default.

When you are ready to use the function, you can create a file containing access codes following the steps below:

1. In EPIC, go to Manage Reports > Create a New Report/Issue Access Codes.

New ways to get instant help and support

Wiley have just launched a new Help Centre, primarily for EPIC account holders (but there is useful info for everyone).

It is available at the links below and also from the bottom right corner of your EPIC account.

I have given it a quick test-run and the search functionality is excellent making it the easiest way to find answers to many of your questions.

Data opt-out by default now possible

Wiley can now activate a feature in Catalyst at organisational level which requires each new learner in the organisation to opt in to sharing their data with colleagues.

If you, or your learners, have any concerns about privacy and want to ensure that learners give explicit consent before entering the platform and sharing with their colleagues, this feature helps provide this visibility and consent up front.

Below is a screenshot of what the experience looks like from the learner's side.

Please note that this functionality can only be activated by Wiley. If you want to activate it please follow the steps below:

  1. Create your new 'Organisation' in EPIC, or directly in Catalyst if you have synced your admin accounts - DO NOT issue any access codes. Learn how to sync EPIC and Catalyst here.
